Abstract
Though other methods have been sufficient in hydroxyl group protection during organic synthesis, a more cost effective, less toxic, and time efficient solution is ideal. We have discovered a new method that complements previous advance in organic synthesis. Our research has proven that a new method, including the addition of palladium as a catalyst, is quicker, has a wider substrate scope, and is substantially more efficient than alternatives. We desire to continue our inquiry on palladium, to include activation of multiple polyols suing more hindered anhydrides.
