dc.description.abstractPresents the findings from a national survey on area librarianship. Conference presentations discuss changing trends in international education and the impact of technology on the future of area studies librarianship. Small group discussions outline a set of action plans that address new directions for library science education, professional development, and the feasibility of new partnerships and cooperative initiatives. Appendices include the questionnaires as well as select comments and data from completed surveys.
