dc.description.abstract | DNA data has accumulated more rapidly in recent years than compute power, so researchers must often exclude potentially informative data to make statistical analysis practical. For SC'98, the computationally intensive maximum-likelihood method of phylogenetic inference is used on three medium-to-large datasets: for cytoplasmic coat proteins, mycrosporidia, and cyanobacteria. | |
