This document is the conference program for the 55th Annual Meeting of the American Anthropological Association held jointly with the 68th Annual Meeting of the American Folklore Society at the Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, CA, December 28-30, 1956. Cooperation included: the American Ethnological Society, the American Sociological Society, the Society for American Archaeology, the Society for Applied Anthropology, and the Western States Branch of the American Anthropological Association.
