Donizetti, W.A. Mozart, G. Rossini. John Knowles Paine composed recitatives and interludes. James Russell Lowell provided the loose English translation. Brown, having gathered and uncovered the relevant materials, employed Eric Thomas Knechtges to transcribe, adapt, and create the performance score.
