Abstract:
This is the Carnegie Whitney Grant Application that I submitted for the project that became histsex.org. 50 Years On, Many Years Past aims fill a representational need for LGBTQ+ sexual identity that is often overlooked in favor of fictional representation. By building an open-source freely-available digital bibliography of the history of sexuality, it will help librarians, educators, and students demonstrate that queer history is much broader and deeper than is usually known.
