dc.description Poster presented at the 2013 Association for Institutional Research Annual Forum in Long Beach, CA. en
dc.description.abstract The tenure process varies greatly by disciplinary area and institutional type. Gender, race or ethnicity, and age have also shaped the way faculty experience and perceive the process. In order to support faculty members with diverse backgrounds and interests, campus leaders should make it a priority to routinely evaluate the equity of tenure processes at their institutions. This poster informs participants of a multi-institutional study that assessed the peer support faculty received while going through the process as well as to what extent their processes were reasonable, fair, work-life balanced, and satisfying. Differences by faculty and institutional characteristics are shared. en
