Abstract:
Translations of over 130 Western Zhou bronze inscriptions, chronologically ordered, with commentary. These primary texts were originally prepared in the late 1980s as sources for class group projects that explore themes of Western Zhou history as they evolve over the two and a half centuries of the era. The broad topics that groups explored concerned Authority, War, Law, and Religion, with various sub-themes, individual members of each group responsible for describing the evidence found in a chronological range of inscriptions.
