Public Programs Newsletter Vol. 2, No. 2
(American Folklore Society, 1984-09) Beck, Jane C.
It is Newsletter time again and please let me exhort you. If you are at all interested in seeing that this Newsletter continues, please send in your news and thoughts on various issues that concern us all. I realize that one of the problems is time--not procrastination. Those of us who work in the public sector share a tendency to be somewhat breathless as we gasp from project to project. But we need a voice and we need to share ideas. So please put that on your agenda and between gasps blink at the computer or take pen in hand and communicate with your colleagues, not only your constituents. We have much to learn from each other.

Public Programs Newsletter Vol. 2, No. 1
(American Folklore Society, 1984-03) Beck, Jane C.
Again it is Newsletter time. I know deadlines crop up on everyone, but I hope as the Newsletter continues to appear, everyone will become more aware of these deadlines. The next is August 31, 1984. Please do send in news and thoughts. I know it takes more time to write about issues and ideas, but I suspect reading this section is one of the most interesting parts of the Newsletter. Perhaps people should be asked well ahead of time for a particular newsletter. Please make it known if the Newsletter does not reflect your interests and concerns.

Public Programs Newsletter Vol. 1, No. 2
(American Folklore Society, 1983-09) Beck, Jane C.
I appreciate all your help in putting this Newsletter together. If there is anything I would urge, it is that more of you send in your news and thoughts. This Newsletter is to be of service to folklorists working in Public Programs and obviously should reflect those interests and concerns. I know the cry of the Public Sector Folklorist is "Give me a 36 hour day" but at least while you're munching some junk food in your car, scribble something on the back of an envelope and send it in!

Public Programs Newsletter Vol. 1, No. 1
(American Folklore Society, 1983-03) Beck, Jane C.
This is a first attempt at a newsletter for those folklorists working in the Public Sector. Hopefully it will serve as a way for us to communicate about what we are doing, our thoughts about it, our problems and our successes. The Newsletter is to serve us and the way it will function best is to have us make use of it. So please communicate your-news, thoughts, and any suggestions.
