The Effects of Sexual Objectification on Anxiety
    (2021-04-23) Heishman, Katie; Venzor, Leslie
Most people will likely have some sort of experience with sexual objectification during their lives. The current study will examine the role of sexual objectification and how it may affect levels of anxiety. Female participants will complete a Qualtrics survey. It is hypothesized that the current study will find a significant positive correlation between sexual objectification experiences. Additionally, it is hypothesized unwanted explicit sexual advances will positively correlate more highly with anxiety than body evaluation. This research could be used to promote mental health awareness and the negative effects of long-term exposure to sexual objectification.
